SMAC&SHOP App

SMAC&SHOP is SMAC’s mobile app. With the app, members can: 
  • Earn & pay with points using your Virtual SMAC, even without your physical card  
  • Track their points and transaction history 
  • Track their Road to SMAC Prestige 
  • Get exclusive app vouchers that they can use in the store  
  • Shop online

How do I download the SMAC&SHOP app?

The SMAC&SHOP app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

What is a SMAC Virtual Card or a Virtual SMAC? 

  • The SMAC Virtual Card or Virtual SMAC is the digital counterpart of a physical loyalty membership card.  
  • All members who register for an online account will be issued a Virtual Card/Virtual SMAC. 
  • A Virtual SMAC can be used to earn and redeem points. 

Can I use my Virtual SMAC even if I don’t have internet connection? 

Yes.  

Go to Account and enable the ‘View Virtual Card without Login’ button

Your Virtual SMAC will then be available even if you don’t have an internet connection/ offline 

Can I use my virtual SMAC when there’s 3 Day Sale? 

Yes.  

Is it ok to use a picture or screenshot of my virtual SMAC? 

No, only the virtual SMAC from the mobile app are accepted.  

There are promos that might not work if a screenshot or a picture is presented.  

To ensure we extend the best experience to our members, we should always accept the one from the member’s mobile app.  

SMAC&SHOP Vouchers

SMAC&SHOP vouchers are vouchers that you can exclusively get from the app, which you can redeem in-store. There are different types of vouchers: 
  1. SMAC Welcome Vouchers 
    • Bonus points vouchers that you can collect 
    • Exclusive to new SMAC members who signed-up/ registered through the app 
  2. Welcome Vouchers for SMAC Start 
    • Bonus points vouchers that you can use instore 
    • Exclusive to new SMAC members who signed-up/ registered through the app 
  3. Welcome Vouchers for SMAC/ Prestige 
    • Discount, bonus points, or freebie vouchers that you can use instore 
    • You can get this when you link a physical card to your virtual SMAC in the app 
  4. Birthday Vouchers  
    • Discount, bonus points, or freebie vouchers that you can use instore 
    • Awarded to members celebrating their birth month (loaded 1st and 15th of the month i.e. new members who are celebrating their birth month after these dates will get the vouchers on their next birthday) 

How do I know if I have a voucher?

From the home screen, click on the ‘Vouchers’ tab on the lower part. You will be redirected to the vouchers page. 

How do I use these vouchers?

  1. From the voucher page, click ‘view’ on the voucher that you like to use 
  2. Click on ‘Show barcode’. 
  3. Present this screen to the cashier and they will scan your virtual SMAC with the voucher barcode. 

Can I still earn points when I use these vouchers?

Yes, members can still earn points once the virtual SMAC is scanned. 

Can I use multiple vouchers in 1 transaction? 

Please check the vouchers details page, some vouchers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. 

Can I use the voucher multiple times? 

No, vouchers are for one-time use only. Once the voucher has been used, it will move to the ‘Used’ tab within 2-3 minutes. 

If I screenshot the voucher, will that be accepted? 

No, only vouchers/ promo barcodes in the SMAC&SHOP app are valid. 

Can I use my SMAC to earn points and use someone else’s voucher? 

No, each voucher is tagged to a specific trigger (registration, card linked or birthday) which is done by a specific member. If the voucher and the SMAC don’t match, the voucher will not be tagged as used. 

Can I show my physical card and the voucher on my phone? Will the cashier accept? 

No, you need to use your virtual SMAC in the voucher page. 

SMAC&SHOP Card Linking

Card linking is the merging of loyalty membership accounts. 

You can link your physical SMAC to your virtual SMAC so you can still earn points even without your physical card. 

What happens to my accounts once they are linked?

Points of all linked accounts shall be merged into a single wallet.  
The balance in the single wallet will be reflected across all linked physical cards. 

The currency of all linked points becomes SMAC Points.  

Account records shall be combined including member information, purchase and points transactions and history.  

Can I link more than one SMAC to my online account?

Yes.  

The Virtual SMAC to be displayed will always be the highest SMAC tier.  

Will I get notified if a card is linked to my account? 

No. The owner of the card being linked will receive an OTP via the registered mobile number. 

Your spending will be updated the following day. 

Will card specific benefits be extended to all my cards if they are linked to one account?  

No, card specific benefits are not shared across all linked cards.  

  1. You have not activated your membership account via SMS. 
  2. Your membership is more than 90 days expired. 
  3. You have a SMAC issued to you for free by Chinabank. 
  4. You don’t have a registered mobile number or it’s not updated. 
  5. You have an unclaimed SMAC Prestige account. 
  6. You already have a previously created online account. 

What loyalty cards can I link?

You may link the following:

  • SMAC Start 
  • SMAC  
  • SMAC Prestige  
  • Ace Rewards 
  • The Body Shop Love Your Body Club 
  • Baby Company MOM 

How do I link my card?

Step 1: Go to ‘Manage Cards’ from the Home screen 

Step 2: Click on ‘Link Card’ 

Step 3: Input the card number of the card you’re linking 

Step 4: Confirm by clicking ‘Link your Card’ 

Step 5: Input the OTP sent to the registered mobile number of the card you’re linking. 

Step 6: A confirmation message will appear that you’ve successfully linked the card.


Becoming part of the SMAC Program

How can I be part of the SMAC Program?
Here are two ways on how you can be part of the SMAC Program:

1. In-store: Purchase a SMAC (blue) physical card at any select SM Retail store for Php200. (subject to change without prior notice)


2. Online: Visit the SMAC website at www.smac.ph or download the SMAC&SHOP app from the App Store or Google Play Store to get a virtual SMAC Start.

Who can be part of the SMAC Program?
Individuals aged 18 and above can qualify for a SMAC membership.

Can I cancel my SMAC membership?
You can cancel your SMAC membership by emailing feedback@smadvantage.com or https://helpdesk.smac.ph/

How long does my membership last?
The validity of your membership will depend on your card type

What is a SMAC Virtual Card?
The SMAC Virtual Card is the digital counterpart of a physical SMAC Start, SMAC, or SMAC Prestige Card.
All members who register for an online account will be given a SMAC Virtual Card

What is card linking and what loyalty cards can I link?
Card linking is the merging of loyalty accounts. You may link your SMAC Start, SMAC, SMAC Prestige, Ace Rewards, Love Your Body, and MOM Card.

SMAC Start


What is SMAC Start?
SMAC Start is a free membership that lets you earn points and use them to pay for purchases like fashion, home, and beauty essentials.

Where can I get my SMAC Start?
To get a FREE virtual SMAC Start, register online or download the SMAC&SHOP app from the App Store or Google Play.
Occasionally, we also distribute the physical SMAC Start Card at distribution events in SM Malls, SMAC Partners, or in local communities. Regularly check our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts as well as our website for updates.

Can I use my SMAC Start to get discounts?

SMAC Start members only enjoy Points Offers, such as bonus points and multipliers. To avail of discounts, you can upgrade to SMAC (blue) for only P200 or unlock SMAC Prestige by meeting the required spend.

Activation, Registration, & Personalization


How do I activate my SMAC?
To activate your account, text SMAC<space>ACT<space>16-digit card number to 225600.
Your 16-digit card number can be found at the back of your card.
Upon activation, members with physical cards can start earning points.
Register your account to fully enjoy the benefits of your SMAC membership.

How do I register my SMAC?
Register your membership information via the SMAC website, Mobile App or the Customer Service Counters inside SM Store.
Upon registration, you will start enjoying the full benefits of the program including earning and paying with points.

How do I personalize my SMAC?
Just go to the Customer Service Counter of any SM Store and your name will be printed on your card within a few minutes.
Make sure your account is registered first.

SMAC Prestige

How do I become a SMAC Prestige member?
Reach a cumulative spending of at least P200,000 at SM Store and other SM Retail Stores within 12 months upon member registration to be promoted to SMAC Prestige.
 
Spending is reviewed daily, based on purchases made within the past 12 months. Each day, purchases that fall outside this 12-month period are automatically excluded.
 

Upon promotion, you may claim the physical card at the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store. 

How is my total spending reviewed for SMAC Prestige eligibility? 

Your spending is reviewed daily, based on purchases made within the past 12 months. Each day, purchases that fall outside this 12-month period are automatically excluded.

Example: On October 2, 2024, your total spend is P140,000, covering transactions from October 3, 2023 to October 2, 2024. This includes a P20,000 purchase from October 3, 2023. 

On October 3, 2024, that P20,000 purchase will no longer count toward your total since transactions reviewed are from October 4, 2023 to October 3, 2024 i.e. Spend will be P120,000.


How do I get my SMAC Prestige Card?
To claim your SMAC Prestige Card, visit the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store. Present the SMAC communication (via email or SMS) of your promotion, and a valid ID.

Can I still use my existing SMAC (blue or Start) if I haven’t claimed my SMAC Prestige Card?
Yes, you can still use your unexpired SMAC (blue) or SMAC Start Card for points earning and redemption until you claim your SMAC Prestige Card.

What happens to the points I earned using my SMAC?
Your points earned from your SMAC Start or SMAC will automatically be pooled to your SMAC Prestige membership.

How long is my SMAC Prestige membership valid?
Your SMAC Prestige membership is valid for twelve (12) months from the day after you meet the spend requirement.

How do I renew my SMAC Prestige membership?
Your SMAC Prestige membership will be automatically renewed if you maintain the minimum spending requirement of Php 200,000 at any SM Store and other SM Retail stores, within the validity of your membership or before the expiry of your card.
 
The spend review for renewal considers your purchases over your 12-month membership validity only.

How do I know if I have qualified for SMAC Prestige membership renewal?
For SMAC Prestige renewal, DAC reserves the right to track your spending and automatically qualify members for renewal. On the month of card expiry, if you've met the renewal spend requirement, you will receive a notification about your automatic renewal on the 1st week of the following month. Make sure your contact information is updated to receive notifications from SMAC.

Will I be provided with a new SMAC Prestige Card when I meet the Php200,000 spend requirement?
Yes. Visit the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store, present the SMAC communication (via email or SMS) of your renewal, your existing SMAC Prestige Card, and a valid ID.

Can I still use my old SMAC Prestige Card while waiting to claim my new one?
Yes, you can still use your old SMAC Prestige Card to earn points. For Prestige members whose cards are undergoing renewal, points redemption can only be done using the renewed card.

What happens to the points on my old SMAC Prestige Card when I claim my new one?
All points from your old SMAC Prestige Card are automatically transferred to your new SMAC Prestige Card upon claiming.

What is the validity period of my renewed Prestige membership?
Your SMAC Prestige membership is automatically renewed when you meet the spending requirement of at least Php200,000 before your next card expiry date.
 
Your new SMAC Prestige membership will be valid for another 12 months. Qualified members are notified on the 1st week of the following month of their automatic renewal.

What will happen to my SMAC Prestige membership if I do not meet the Php200,000 spending requirement
Members who do not meet the minimum spending requirement within the qualification period will be transitioned to their linked highest tier unexpired account. To ensure that renewing members who didn't meet the spend and have no linked cards continue to earn points, they will be issued a virtual SMAC Start, accessible via the SMAC&SHOP app. Any unexpired points from the Prestige account will be pooled to this new virtual account.

How does SMAC Prestige renewal work?
SMAC Prestige renewal is determined automatically by tracking your spending. DAC reserves the right to evaluate and qualify members for renewal based on their spending.

Membership Renewal

How do I renew my SMAC membership?
Renew your membership by visiting the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store.

When should I renew my SMAC?
You may renew your membership within three (3) months prior to card expiration with a grace period of three (3) months after the date of card expiration.

All unused points will be carried over to your new card once you renew.

Can I still use my old SMAC?
You no longer enjoy points earning, points redemption, and the member-exclusive benefits and promos until you renew your SMAC membership.

What happens to the points on my old SMAC when I renew?
All points from your old SMAC are automatically transferred to your new SMAC upon renewal.

SMAC Points

How do I earn SMAC Points?
Present your physical SMAC or your virtual SMAC to the cashier before any purchase at SM Retail stores.

Is there a minimum purchase amount required to earn SMAC Points?
No, just present your card to the cashier to earn SMAC Points.

How long does it take for points to be credited to my account?
It may take up to seven (7) to ten (10) days for points and transactions to be reflected on your account.
Your transaction history may be viewed via the SMAC website and Mobile App.

How do I check my SMAC Points balance?
Download the SMAC&SHOP app or visit smac.ph to keep updated on your points balance and many other SMAC benefits you are eligible to enjoy, or you may visit a Cashier Counter at any SM Retail store establishment.

How do I redeem my points?
SMAC Points can be used to pay for your purchases at SM Retail stores.
No minimum amount is required to start using those SMAC Points.

Will my SMAC Points expire?
Your points are subject to expiry depending on your activity or membership validity.
Your SMAC Points will not expire as long as:                     
      1. You have one (1) valid point-earning transaction or points-redemption activity within two (2) calendar years.      
      2. You renew your SMAC membership not later than three (3) months from expiry.

Otherwise, all unused points will be forfeited.

Can I transfer my SMAC Points?
Yes, you can transfer your points to another SMAC Start, SMAC or SMAC Prestige account.

How do I transfer points?
Download the SMAC&SHOP app or visit smac.ph to transfer your points.

Do transferred points expire?
Yes, they expire like regular points.

SMAC Points Conversion

How do I convert my PLDT Home Rewards Crystal Points to SMAC Points?
Log in to your PLDT Home Rewards account and click the link ‘Redeem now’
Select the 100 SMAC Points in the marketplace and click redeem.
Copy the voucher code to be inputted in the SMAC website.

Who can convert PLDT Home Rewards Crystal Points to SMAC Points?
Open to all SMAC Start, SMAC and Prestige members with enough PLDT Home Rewards Crystals required for the conversion to SMAC Points.

What is the points conversion scheme?
260 PLDT Home Rewards Crystals = 100 SMAC Points

When will SMAC Points be posted?
Awarding of SMAC Points will be credited to the member’s account 24 hours upon claiming in the website.

How do I convert my PAL Mabuhay Miles to SMAC Points?

Via PAL Website:
1. Visit the PAL website, log into your Mabuhay Miles account, and select “Redeeming Miles” under the Mabuhay Miles section.
2. Choose the “Non-Flight” option, click the SMAC logo, and use the slider to select the amount of Mabuhay Miles to convert. Enter your SMAC number.
3. Review the details, confirm the transaction, enter the OTP, and your SMAC Points will be credited instantly.

Who can convert PAL Mabuhay Miles to SMAC Points?
This offer is valid for all SMAC Start, SMAC, and SMAC Prestige members with a sufficient PAL Mabuhay Miles balance required for conversion to SMAC Points.

What is the points conversion scheme?
500 PAL Mabuhay Miles = 200 SMAC Points

When will SMAC Points be credited?
Via Hotline: SMAC Points will be credited within 5 to 7 business days.
Via Website: SMAC Points will immediately be credited.

How do I convert my SMAC Points to PAL Mabuhay Miles?
1. Log in to smac.ph and click the PAL Mabuhay Miles banner on the homepage. 
2. Enter your Mabuhay Miles number and select the points to convert. 
3. Input the 6-digit OTP sent to your mobile or email to confirm the transaction. 

Who can convert SMAC Points to Mabuhay Miles?
SMAC Start, SMAC and SMAC Prestige members with unexpired accounts with at least 250 points.

What is the points conversion scheme?
250 SMAC Points = 150 PAL Mabuhay Miles

Is there a maximum number of points that I can convert?
No. You can convert as many points as long as your balance is sufficient.

When will PAL Mabuhay Miles be credited?
Miles will be converted within 24 hours.

How do I convert my GLOBE Rewards Points to SMAC Points?
1. Sign in to your GlobeOne app, go to the “Rewards” tab, and redeem the SMAC50 offer.
2. Wait for the confirmation notification with a unique code from 4438.
3. Log in to your SMAC account, add the unique code under the “Vouchers” tab, and click “Claim” to redeem the points. 

Who can convert GLOBE Rewards Points to SMAC Points?
Open to all SMAC Start, SMAC and SMAC Prestige members with enough Globe Rewards Points required for the conversion to SMAC Points.

What is the points conversion scheme?
130 Globe Rewards = 100 SMAC Points
65 Globe Rewards = 50 SMAC Points
20 Globe Rewards = 15 SMAC Points -- starting January 1, 2025.

When will SMAC Points be posted?
Awarding of SMAC Points will be credited to the member’s account 24 hours upon claiming on the website.

Can I reverse points conversions?
No, conversions are not reversible.


Membership Information

How do I update my membership information?
You may update your membership information through the SMAC website via www.smac.ph.

I just changed my marital status. How do I apply for a new card with my new surname?
Visit the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store and present a valid ID reflecting both your old and new surnames. The replacement fee is P80.00.

I no longer want to receive notifications, what should I do?
To stop receiving notifications from SMAC - log in to your account on the website or mobile app and go to Account > Settings > Notifications.
You will no longer receive sale, discount and offer related notifications.
Account notifications such as renewal reminder and points expiry notice will still be sent to your registered contact details.

Lost & Damaged Card

What do I do if I lost my SMAC?
Block your card through the SMAC website via www.smac.ph
Visit the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store for your replacement. A fee of P 80 shall apply.

What do I do if my card becomes defective?
SMAC carries a three-month warranty (from date of activation) against faulty magnetic strips, during which no fee will be charged for card replacement. After the three-month warranty period, a replacement fee of P 80.00 shall apply.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from abuse, misuse and negligence on the part of the member (i.e. folded, warped, or scratched, etc.).

How and when will I get my replacement card?
Visit the Customer Service Counter inside any SM Store and your card will be ready within a few minutes.

SMAC E-Vouchers

What is a SMAC Voucher?
A voucher with a unique promo code from SMAC or SMAC partners that entitles a member to an exclusive SMAC benefit.

How do I use my SMAC Voucher?
Visit the SMAC website and log in to your account. Navigate to the Vouchers section and enter the voucher code to add it to your available vouchers. Once the voucher appears in your account, redeem it to enjoy the offer, whether it’s bonus points or a freebie
